Peek Through my Window

Office View - Beautiful Fall Leaves!

I don’t know how it is in your bit of the world, but in our little forest & surrounding village, the landscape is starting to become radiant with color. It’s almost as if a painter is standing above us, and with quick strokes of his brush, he’s changing everything around us into large swatches of deep reds, chocolate browns, and bright oranges!

Today, as I was “working” at my desk, I became captivated by the color I gazed out of my window! I’ve been watching the trees, and they have been subtly changing as we dive deeper in the Autumn season, but today, they are suddenly bursting with extreme color!

I am so thankful that I am able to be surrounded with such abundant beauty. But, I have to admit, sometimes I do become distracted by the view (I can’t seem to help it 😉

River in fall

Just today I have witnessed…

– A mother deer & her two babies wandering around the forest, and grazing down by the river.

– Several wood peckers dancing up and down the trunks of the tall trees.

– Little creatures such as chipmunks and squirrels, carrying their treasures back to be tucked away in some secret nook or cranny, that has now become their winter pantry.

– And a flock of geese flying so close to my window, that I could actually see what each one looked like.

Our days pass by so fast…

How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. James 4:14

So lets enjoy each day to the fullest!

Now, back to work 😉

  2. Thank you for the beautiful pictures of fall. Our colors have not changed here but it is a wonderful gift to see God’s beauty unfold with each season. Watching God’s beauty around us is so helpful too. I have been caring for my daughter who is handicapped in and out of the hospital for two weeks and being able to come home to our little acerage and see the beauty is so helpful. I hope to have some time to be checking in more often to read on your site now that my daughter is home. God Bless you. Thank you for providing this site.

  3. Pearl,
I agree! Nature is so beautiful! It is awesome to know that our God, the ultimate artist has created the leaf to change it’s color from crisp green to radiant reds, oranges and browns! Instead of leaving them green all the time or just dying off. We get to experience the same nature but in a different beauty! Looking out the window at nature can be so relaxing, it is always worth the distraction!
    Love,

  4. Not being so fortunate as to have this kind of view from my windows, I just wanted you to know that I’m grateful to you for providing that view for me, as well as your comforting thoughts to go along with it. I think I just felt a breeze…

  5. How lovely. Autumn has so many wonderful surprise’s for us. I’m afraid here in N.J. we are still waiting for her to arrive! It has been so warm and since it’s my favorite time of the year ( I say that each season) I am growing impatient.
All of your pictures stir up such warm and inviting thoughts. Thanks for posting them.
